Dr. Justine Simon Bailey has a strong passion for changing lives through vision therapy and neuro-optometric rehabilitation. Her journey to becoming an eye doctor started during her undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego where she shadowed Dr. Claude Valenti at the Optometric Vision Development Center, this exact practice location. She is very excited to be back in La Jolla to serve the community.

Optometric vision therapy is an individualized therapeutic and rehabilitative program prescribed to provide treatment for diagnosed visual dysfunctions and teach the eyes, brain, and body to work better together. Through neuroplasticity, we can teach children and adults how to effectively move, team, and focus their eyes in addition to strengthening their ability to process visual information (also known as visual information processing). The goals of the prescribed treatment program are to alleviate signs and symptoms of visual dysfunctions, meet the patient’s needs, and improve their quality of life.
